Recently, the contract on the design of the 2020 comprehensive renovation project of the old communities in Dongcheng District, Beijing, undertaken by China Electric Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., a unit affiliated to China National Electric Engineering Co., Ltd., was successfully concluded. The renovation construction area covers more than 70 thousand square meters, and the total investment in Phase I exceeds 100 million yuan.

　During the period of carrying out the design work, upholding the people-oriented principle, the project team were in close cooperation with all parties, and the design scheme fully satisfied the practical needs of the residents. Its comprehensive practicability and the government’s hierarchically-applicable incentives make the work highly appreciated by the community residents and related government departments at all levels.

　　In the future, the institute will continue to explore multi-mode, multi-way livelihood projects, facilitate the development of people's livelihood, and better perform the political, economic and social responsibilities as a state-owned enterprise.
