Ming Tomb 4X200MW Pumped Storage Power Plant, located in the district Changping of Beijing, Capital of China, is a modern storage power plant for the purpose of meeting the increasing electricity requirement and improving power supply quality. Started in September, 1992, the first generator unit was put into service in December, 1995, and all the four units were synchronized to the grid in July, 1997.

Ming Tomb reservoir as the low reservoir, the upper reservoir constructed at the hill of 568m high, the fall between them reached 481m. The power plant was composed of four 200MW Francis pump-turbines and Francis turbo-generator units, with an installed capacity of 800MW.

CNEEC finished the manufacture through introduction of abroad advanced technology and cooperation with Chinese Manufacturer of M.E. CNEEC opened up a way of auto-design and auto-manufacture via Ming Tomb storage generator units, contributing a lot to this project.
