The unit No.2 of 2x150MW coal-fired power plant SUMSEL-5 in Indonesia, overall contracted by CNEEC, was put into 168-hour safe operation at local time 15:30 on March 29th, 2016, which was successfully completed at local time 15:30 on April 5th. At the same time, the performance test of unit No.1 was also passed on March 15th local time. Thus far, all the tests of units No. 1 and 2 of the SUMSEL-5 project have come to a successful end except for the functional test of Unit 2.
During the 168 hours of safe operation, the boiler of unit No.2 was in stable combustion, the turbine vibration characteristics and the technical indexes were all excellent, and the main systems and parameters were within the scope of design, which was unanimously commended by the owner and supervisor.
