In the presence of the Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority (OIA), Yan Weihua, General Manager of China National Electric Engineering Co., Ltd. (CNEEC), signed the EPC contract for a deep-sea water desalination project with the project owner in Oman. The project encompasses a range of tasks, including deep-sea water intake, desalination, bottled water production, low-sodium edible salt manufacturing, and comprehensive cold energy utilization.

Upon completion, the project will leverage stability, purity, sustainability, and other distinctive advantages of deep-sea water in the Gulf of Oman to build a multidimensional shield for water quality and to create a strategically significant freshwater reserve system spanning the Gulf region. This will provide a long-term guarantee of water security in the Middle East.
