On November 5, more good news came from the Songkhla Waste-to-Energy Project in Thailand being built by China National Electric Engineering Co., Ltd. (CNEEC): the steam turbine successfully completed its run-up, reaching rated speed. During the acceleration and speed stabilization process, critical parameters such as shaft vibration and bearing temperatures were superior to technical specifications, demonstrating smooth and reliable system operation. This achievement marks the project’s transition from equipment installation and commissioning to integrated unit startup, laying a solid foundation for subsequent grid connection.

The local government has attached great importance to the project. On November 7, the Songkhla Provincial Government, together with multiple departments including industry, energy, and environmental protection, formed a special inspection team to conduct field surveys. The team commended the project on its achievements to date and recognized its demonstration effect in waste reduction and harmless treatment upon commissioning. According to the requirements of the Songkhla Provincial Government and the client, the project department will continue to make all necessary preparations for grid connection and make an all-out effort to achieve the target of grid-connected power generation on November 17.
