On December 3-4, Yan Weihua, General Manager of China National Electric Engineering Co., Ltd. (CNEEC), was invited to attend the 22nd World Wind Energy Conference (WWEC2025) and the 3rd Shantou International Wind Power Technology Innovation Conference. He exchanged views on the development of wind power with energy policymakers, wind energy experts, and representatives of multinational companies from nearly 30 countries and regions.
WWEC is a top annual event in the global wind energy sector. Organized by the World Wind Energy Association (WWEA), it serves as a benchmark international platform for advancing the global wind energy sector. Under the theme of “Empowering the Future with Wind Energy, Innovation, Collaboration, and Sustainable Growth”, this year’s conference focused on core topics such as wind power technology innovation and industrial chain collaboration, aiming to gain global consensus and establish wind power as a pillar of energy transition.

Addressing the conference, Yan Weihua said that China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC), as a representative of the Shantou International Wind Power Innovation Port Construction Consortium, has been deeply involved in energy and power development for years. CMEC has delivered numerous landmark energy projects at home and abroad, achieving remarkable results and accumulating extensive expertise. Moreover, it has established comprehensive service capabilities covering the entire industrial chain. Facing the global trend of wind power development, the company will leverage its strengths in global resource integration and overseas market presence to drive the overseas expansion of both upstream and downstream enterprises. With high-quality Chinese wind power technologies and efficient engineering solutions as its core competitive advantages, the company will actively engage in international market cooperation, achieving shared value and mutual benefit in advancing the global energy transition.
During the conference, China Comprehensive Service Port for the Globalization of Wind Power Industry held its founding ceremony and commenced official operation. The port was initiated by China International Engineering Consulting Corporation (CIECC), CNEEC, China National Complete Plant Import & Export Group Co., Ltd. (COMPLANT), and China General Certification Center (CGC), in cooperation with professional service organizations such as internationally-renowned law firms, accounting firms, logistics companies, intellectual property centers, and human resources service providers. On behalf of CNEEC, Yan Weihua attended the launch ceremony with other guests. Establishing the service port represents a concrete initiative in response to the Guiding Opinions on Further Improving the Comprehensive Overseas Service System issued by five ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Commerce. It will provide full-chain services covering policy support, resource matchmaking, and risk prevention and control, supporting wind power enterprises to go global. Consolidating the powerful joint force for the industry’s international development, the port will help China’s wind power sector enhance its core competitiveness in the global market.
